Hey, I’m Chris Setty.

I am fascinated and captivated by design, especially when it comes to walls and ceilings. I love sitting at a bar surrounded by rich textures, luster, and depth, sipping whiskey, transfixed by the creative and artistic surfaces which seem to transport you to a different place and time. Maybe you have found yourself impacted by imaginative and stylish spaces wondering why you can’t do something like that in your own home. Are we just doomed to stick with paint? Two-dimensional rectangles of color can never truly capture who you are, and what you want to say through your environment. You have big ideas, a keen sense of the style, and a certain feeling you want to come through. That is where I come in. I love helping people bring their visions to life. That wall that is just begging for something special, to be a real feature in your space. That room you want to drip with luxury and deliciousness. That ceiling you have always wanted to do something unique and striking with. I love making all of those things happen, and whatever else you’ve got.

I fell in love with the beauty, feel, and infinite possibilities of Lime Plaster (aka Venetian Plaster). This ancient material and technique has continued to grow in popularity and availability. Using only 100% natural lime-based plasters, non-toxic finishes, and the finest tools, I am familiar with a vast array of products to achieve your desires. No matter the style, color, or finish, there are ways we can achieve the look and effect you envision. From the subtle, to the bold; old world looks to industrial and urban; glassy like a mirror or textured and tactile; stenciled patterns, metallics, chromatic effects, patinas - whatever you can imagine, it is possible.

On the more personal side of things, some facts about me:

  • I live in Downtown Spokane, WA

  • My wife and I have been together since we were teenagers in 1989, and I would destroy whole civilizations for her, but let’s hope it doesn’t come to that.

  • After a long career in technology, I started Apollyon Wall Design based on my love of creating unique and luxurious walls & ceilings

  • I have four children - though they are now 25-35 years old - and the most perfect little Grandson

  • I own and operate a hair salon in Downtown Spokane with my wife - she was in beauty school when we started dating. Never saw myself doing that, at all. Turns out…super fun. It’s like serving and caring for witches. You can check it out here.
